Abstract:
Dr. Lin will talk about his past efforts to understand the molecular mechanisms of ovarian cancer initiation and progression. He will also briefly cover the current projects, including (1) studying the functional roles and underlying molecular mechanisms of lncRNAs in aerobic glycolysis and drug resistance in ovarian cancer and (2) developing RNA-centric methods to identify weak and/or transient lncRNA-interacting partners that are key to regulating lncRNA functions.
BIO:
Dr. Xianzhi Lin is currently an Assistant Professor of Biology at the Division of Natural and Applied Sciences, and a Senior Research Scientist at the Global Health Research Center, Duke Kunshan University. He has a B.E. in Biological Engineering from Kunming University of Science and Technology and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Institut Pasteur of Shanghai, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He obtained postdoctoral trainings in RNA Biology and Cancer Genomics at University of California, Los Angeles and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
