It was a pleasure to host Kārlis Rokpelnis, as the new EURAXESS-China representative, at DKU. During the visit, Kārlis had the opportunity to visit our advanced WDR research labs. He expressed considerable admiration for the state-of-the-art facilities and the cutting-edge research being conducted there. The discussions also ventured into the potential for fostering deeper ties between China and Europe through research collaborations, exchange of scholars, and academic programs. Our dialogues on future scholarships and graduate program collaborations with European universities underscored the commitment to enhancing the global research landscape. Kairlis’s visit marks a stepping stone towards a promising partnership in academia and research between Europe and DKU.
