Head of Ads Ranking Modeling at Instacart

Abstract 

In this talk, we aim to provide a basic overview of the history and concepts behind generative large language models, specifically focusing on ChatGPT. We’ll also cover their practical applications. Our hope is that by the end of the presentation, the audience will have a clearer understanding of this technology and its potential impact on the world, making the audience better prepared for the exciting changes that lie ahead. 

Bio
The speaker, Peng Qi, holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Tsinghua University and a PhD in Computational Math from UW-Madison. He is currently the head of Ads Ranking Modeling at Instacart and has previously worked as a MLE in Airbnb AI labs, a Lead DS in Applied Machine Learning at Facebook and as a Quant Researcher at Wells Fargo.
