PhD studentship opportunity at Cambridge (UK) extreme weather events on health service demand in two targeted regions of India and the UK

We are seeking a PhD student to join a multi-disciplinary team comprising researchers from the British Antarctic Survey and the University of Cambridge. The successful candidate will be fully funded by the NERC’s C-CLEAR DTP over a period of 3.5 years starting from October 2024.

The aim of this project is to develop a dynamic statistical model to improve understanding of the impact of extreme weather events on health service demand in two targeted regions of India and the UK, which will be used to develop an early warning system to enable the timely scheduling of preventive strategies to alleviate weather-induced healthcare strain.
