PhD student researcher in 6G networks 

The Institute for Networked Systems at RWTH Aachen University has an opening for a PhD student researcher in 6G networks. The successful candidate will contribute research to the federally-funded 6GEM research hub, with a particular focus on intelligent radio resource management and novel MAC for resilient and adaptive 6G networks. 

Interested candidates should meet the following criteria: 

⁃ holding or expected to obtain an M.Sc. degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering or related disciplines 

⁃ strong background in mobile systems, communication theory, wireless communication networks, and communication protocols 

⁃ very good programming/scripting skills (e.g. C/C++, Python, Matlab) 

⁃ hands-on experience with programming SDR platforms and network simulators (e.g. ns-3) is a plus 

⁃ quick comprehension and excellent analytical skills 

⁃ ability to pursue independent research as well as collaborate in a team 

⁃ excellent written and communication skills in English
