Funded PhD Position (UGA Warnell School)

At the University of Georgia Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, I am recruiting a doctoral student who will focus on understanding perceptions and typologies of new and beginning farmers and producers in light of increasing their participation in the conservation reserve program across six southern states (NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, and MS). This assistantship is fully funded for four years. The expected start date is in Jan (2024); however, there is some flexibility on the start date.

The research will directly feed into the highest level of policymaking. It would be an excellent place to start for students interested in making their careers in conservation-based organizations, including but not limited to federal and state agencies, donors, non-profits, universities, and consultancies.
